Craig & Derricott: Refurbishment Specification & Obsolescence

Craig & Derricott also offers overhauling of your electro-mechanical equipment ranging from isolation switchgear to control stations and panels, to drum switch uncouplers and master controllers. Full or partial refurbishment can be carried out by the engineering team based on National Incident Reports and user input.

Additional services include obsolescence management of older product ranges wherein customer products are reverse engineered using modern mechanics and the latest standards in conjunction with the existing wiring and fixings to avoid costly changeouts on stock.

Craig & Derricott: GRP Enclosed Switchgear - Isolation Equipment

The Craig & Derricott range of GRP enclosed switch disconnectors are supplied in either IP65 hinged Glass Fibre Reinforced Polyester or Glass Fibre Reinforced Polycarbonate enclosures in a Light Grey (RAL 7035) finish. All switches are mounted on removable galvanised chassis plates and enclosures are sized to avoid need for cable extension boxes. Fuse combination units are available on request.

  • High impact resistance – IK10 compliant
  • UV tested in accordance with ISO4892
  • Chemical resistant
  • Fire resistance to 960°C
  • Tested in accordance with IEC/EN60947-3

Craig & Derricott: Die-Cast Aluminium Enclosed Switchgear - Isolation Equipment

The Craig & Derricott range of die-cast aluminium enclosed isolation equipment with sealing up to IP66 come with the following features:

  • Available in Light Grey (RAL7035) and Traffic Red (RAL3020) powder coated finish
  • Suitable for extreme environments. Resistant to impact, moisture and dust/dirt

  • Compliant to IEC/BS EN 60947-3
  • Optional addition of a selection of auxiliary blocks and neutral assemblies

All units have a padlock handle which allows for the insertion of up to three padlocks in the ‘Off’ position thus preventing the isolator being switched to the ‘On’ position. All units are interlocked in the ON position preventing the lid from being removed.
